Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Xcaret, the 11th edition of the Festival of Life and Death Traditions will take place from October 30th to November 2nd, 2016 at Xcaret Park starting at 4:00 p.m. and finishing at 10:30 p.m., and from November 3rd to the 6th at the secondary venue, the City Theatre in Playa del Carmen.

For Quintana Roo, Yucatán, Campeche and Puebla* residents:

General Admission

  • Adult Fee: $13.83 USD
  • Child’s Fee: $6.94 USD

Children under 5 years old have free admission. An official ID must be presented at the Park’s ticket booths (CURP or school credential). Admittance starts at 4:00 p.m.

Preferential Admission

Your preferential admission includes all the big forum shows and the Gran Tlachco Theater. Due to limited seating, it does not include small forums like: Guadalupe Chapel, La Plaza, Esplanade, the Henequenes Forum and Mayan Village. Admittance starts at 1:00 p.m.

  • Adult Fee: $24.94 USD
  • Child’s Fee: $12.50 USD

Children 5 to 11 years old get half off the adult ticket price; 12 years and older pay full price. An official ID must be presented at the Park’s ticket booths. Price valid only for children and adults who live in Quintana Roo, Puebla, Campeche and Yucatán with an official ID (IFE or INE, Driver’s License or FM3).

Preferential admission includes a 10% discount at La Plaza gift shop, kiosk stores and Extraordinary Activities.
*Special rate for Puebla residents only applies for purchases made online through the official website of the Festival of Life and Death Traditions. An official ID must be presented at the ticket office of the Park.

No, the price is a special rate for residents, therefore an additional discount cannot be applied.

Yes, but without a discount. Quintana Roo, Campeche, Puebla and Yucatán residents WITHOUT ID or any national or international visitor can access the event by purchasing any of the following options:

  • Park Admission: $89.10 USD*. Admittance starting at 8:30 a.m. until closing of the Park and/or when the Festival ends.
  • Xcaret Plus Admission: $116.10 USD*. Admittance starting at 8:30 a.m. until closing of the Park and/or when the Festival ends.
  • Park Admission + Xclusive: $106.37 USD* or Xcaret Plus + Xclusive: $131.87 USD. Admittance starting at 8:30 p.m. until closing of the Park and/or when the Festival ends.
  • Suggested options for any visitor who is not from the aforementioned states.

Children under 5 years old have free admission with an official ID. Children 5 to 11 years old with ID get half off the adult ticket price; 12 years and older pay full price. Seniors with INSEN/INAPAM IDs get half off the adult ticket price on Park Admission, Xcaret Plus or Xcaret at Night.

Yes, your admission gives you access to the festival’s activities, but if you want to have a reserved seat at the main forums of the festival, you should acquire the Preferential Admission tickets for $24.94 USD adults and $12.50 USD children 5 to 11 years. Includes a 10% discount on the shops at La Plaza, kiosks and Extraordinary Activities.

Purchase your Admission at Xcaret Park ticket booths, in the official website www.festivaldevidaymuerte.com, the Festival’s App and in Sales Points located in: La Pasteletería in Cancun and Playa del Carmen, Base Caracol Xcaret and Commercial Offices, Xcaret’s ticket booths and ADO bus stations in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Chetumal, Cozumel and Mérida. Courtesy tickets available through radio broadcasters and newspapers of Quintana Roo. The procedure for winning those tickets is not the responsibility of Xcaret. Courtesy tickets are also available through contests on Experiencias Xcaret’s social networks.
If you want to acquire your tickets in the Commercial Offices (Av. Tulum #290), you can do it in the following schedule:
Monday to Friday: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and  4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The Festival is for the whole family and in this edition the guest of honor will be the Mexican state of Puebla. Also we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of Xcaret. There will be folkloric ballet from Puebla and Quintana Roo, cabaret theater, regional Yucatán theater, black humor monologues, equestrian show and a wide array of theater shows; pre-Hispanic expressions, dramatized tours through the jungle, a self guided tour of the cemetery, concerts, puppet show, multidisciplinary shows, community theater, visual arts, painting and photography, Mayan ball game, traditional rituals, delicious food tasting and handmade crafts on exhibition from Puebla and the Yucatan Peninsula, among many other things.

Kids and teen workshops with diverse themes from Puebla, like storytellers, interactive activities, handcrafting, cooking and activities for the whole family. Check schedules

There will be a Gala Concert by the Mexican artist Lila Downs with Xclusive, consisting of a bottle of your choice for two, a cheese board and cold meats. This area is going to be specially reserved for this event. There is limited seating, so reserve immediately.

From November 3rd to 6th, the Festival of Life and Death Traditions 2016 moves to the City Theater of Playa del Carmen, where artistic theatrical representations will be presented on unique functions at 20:00 hours.
